Welcome to NJ Reflexology in Bluntisham, near Huntingdon & St Ives in Cambridgeshire; Complementary Therapies for health, relaxation and renewal

Welcome to NJ Reflexology!

My name is Nicola Dennis and I am a fully qualified and insured reflexologist and a registered member of The Association of Reflexologists and Professional Reflexology ensuring I have been trained to a high standard. I am based in Bluntisham, close to Huntingdon and St Ives, in Cambridgeshire and offer professional, individualised sessions.

Passionate about health and wellbeing, my sessions focus on relaxation allowing the body time to restore balance and aid natural healing. Relaxation is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle, and I would love an opportunity to introduce you to reflexology.

Continuous professional development is important to me and a requirement of my membership associations. I am trained in traditional foot reflexology, mindful reflexology (supporting clients with stress, anxiety and depression) and Touch therapy head massage.

Whether you are looking for support with an existing health condition, lower your day to day stress levels or would just like a little 'me' time, my aim is to get you feeling happier, healthier and energised with individually tailored reflexology treatments.

What is Reflexology

Reflexology is based on the theory that different points on the feet correspond with different areas of the body. Reflexologists work these reflex points during a session using varying degrees of pressure and specialised massage techniques.

Reflexologists believe the body can be helped to restore its own healthy balance, helping it work as well as it can.

To gain a better understanding of how reflexology points relate to the body please view the Association of Reflexologists interactive foot map.

My Approach

Reflexology is believed to re-balance the systems of the body so that they work in harmony with each other. I believe that these therapies can make a difference by providing a period of time for you to truly relax allowing your body to benefit from the relaxation the sessions provide. I am interested in each and every one of my clients and client care is important to me. I respect your individuality and wish to provide the session you want and have invested in.

Some frequently asked questions...

Will Reflexology help me?

Reflexology is for everyone, and I would love to introduce it to your life to see if it works for you. It works on an individual level and your experience and response to reflexology will be as individual as you are. Most people find it provides a period of deep relaxation and sense of wellbeing. Like all things in life some people find it works for them and some don’t. The way to find out is to give it a go and take it from there!

Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy that does not diagnose, cure or treat specific conditions. It offers an individualised treatment that aims to balance the body and should not be used as an alternative to seeing your doctor or obtaining medical advice. It is a complementary therapy that can be used alongside medical treatment.

What can I expect?

Your initial session will include completing a confidential client information form and discussing what you would like to get out of the session. You will only need to remove your footwear before becoming comfortable on a reclining couch with the option of soft music and cosy blankets to create your kind of session. I will start with some relaxation movements all over the feet after applying lotion or reflexology wax before using specialised massage techniques applying varying degrees of pressure to the reflex areas on the feet. Appointments generally last about an hour with the initial appointment taking a little longer to allow time for the consultation. This can be done over the phone if more convenient.

How many sessions should I have?

People have reflexology for many different reasons and there is no one answer to this. So, whether you would like your appointments to be a one off, monthly or more frequently that is your choice and I am happy to discuss this with you at your appointment if you wish.

My location

I am based in the village of Bluntisham, which is close to Huntingdon, St. Ives and Cambridge. I practice from my private conservatory room which has a side gate entrance. It is a beautifully calming space in which you may relax and switch off to the outside world for an hour. You are very welcome to park on the driveway if space is available, however, there is off street parking for occasions when this may not be possible.
